From Dream Jobs to Building from Zero

From Dream Jobs to Building from Zero

Key Learnings

🎯 Take the lead

🎯 Learn Systems Thinking

🎯 Listen to the customer pain-points

In 2017, I landed my dream job at Condé Nast India, working across Vogue, GQ, AD, and Traveller. I created 140 landing pages, 40 social media creatives, and 10 emailers, boosting subscriptions by 35% for every brand. On paper, it was perfect. In reality, we didn’t have access to past campaign data. Without feedback, I couldn’t learn from mistakes or make a bigger impact. My dream job started to feel limiting.

I wanted to build from the ground up, where every decision mattered. That opportunity came at a B2B manufacturing company with 200 employees. There was no website, no branding, no marketing. Everything had to start from zero. I built the branding and marketing materials. Within a year, COVID hit. Trade shows stopped. The company needed a way to reach customers and maintain credibility without face-to-face interaction.

I stepped in as the UX designer and product manager, leading the design effort and collaborating with the tech team. I conducted customer interviews, mapped shipping and payment processes, and built the company’s first B2B e-commerce website. I also developed the brand identity and messaging, making every touchpoint consistent and trustworthy. The result? A 46% conversion rate and $4M in team-driven revenue, with my work at the center of UX and product strategy.

I learned that UX isn’t just about screens. It’s about systems thinking, understanding business, and designing for measurable impact. To sharpen this approach, I completed the IBM Enterprise Design Thinking Certificate, gaining tools to align stakeholders, create feedback loops, and scale solutions across enterprises.

Now, I combine creativity, business insight, and systems thinking to design experiences that delight users and drive real results.
