Patters in everyday life
“it is a constant idea of mine, that behind the cotton wool (of daily life) is hidden pattern, that we – I mean all human beings – are connected with this: that the whole world is a work of art; that we are parts of the work of art.“ Virginia Woolf (A Sketch of the Past)
PROJECT BRIEF
Create a visually engaging response to a pattern found in everyday life. This may be interpreted as a book, film, poster or an alternative format to be determined by the chosen subject matter. Here lies an exercise in responsive design, in which you as a designer defines your own questions to guide your exploration and research. The final solution must be underpinned by the analysis of data/ statistics that portrays a pattern.

FINAL IDEA
After researching language patterns, I focused on rhyming words and how they create melody and rhythm in songs. I made posters to show this: I deleted all the lyrics and kept only the rhyming words. This revealed the visual patterns that shape the songs.
